Amlexanox is an anti-inflammatory and anti allergic immunomodulator.
1. It has an inhibitory effect on histamine free reaction, an inhibitory effect on leukotriene production, and an anti-leukotriene effect, resulting in an anti-asthma effect. It is used for the treatment of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis.
Amlexanox is an anti-inflammatory and anti allergic immunomodulator. It is used in the treatment of recurrent aphthous (ulcer) and several inflammatory diseases (in Japan). It has been discontinued in the United States.
