Flonicamid is an organic compound with the molecular formula C9H6F3N3O. It is a new type of low-toxic pyridylamide insect growth regulator insecticide. It obtained the temporary registration certificate of China's pesticide product in 2007. The preparation is 10% water dispersible granules. The appearance of this product is white odorless solid powder.
In addition to its contact killing and stomach poisoning effects, flonicamid also has a good nerve agent and rapid antifeedant effect. After aphids and other piercing-sucking mouthparts eat and inhale plant sap with flonicamid, they will be quickly prevented from sucking the sap. There will be no excrement within 1 hour, and they will eventually die from starvation.
