Aprepitant is a neurokinin-1 (NK-1) receptor antagonist, belonging to anti-cancer chemotherapeutic vomiting drugs.This product has a highly selective affinity for humans, but has a low affinity for 5-hydroxytryptamine, dopamine and corticosteroid receptors.Aprepitant in combination with 5-HT3 receptor inhibitors (e.g., ondansetron hydrochloride) may further reduce acute and/or delayed cisplatin induced vomiting.Single use of this drug has a certain preventive effect.
Aprepitant is an antiemetic chemical compound. It is used for the prevention of acute and delayedchemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV) and for prevention ofpostoperative nausea and vomiting. It can also be used for the treatment of cyclic vomiting syndrome and late-stage chemotherapy induced vomiting occurring during cancer treatment.
Aprepitant is used to treat depression and chemotherapy-induced vomiting.It can prevent the acute and delayed nausea and vomiting caused by the first and subsequent repeated chemotherapy.
