Flufenicol, also known as fluorosulfonamycin, is a commonly used veterinary antibiotic with a wide spectrum of antibacterial activity, strong antibacterial effect, and low minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). Its antibacterial effect is 15-20 times that of chloramphenicol and sulfonamycin. After 60 minutes of feed administration, the drug concentration in tissues can reach its peak, which can quickly control the disease. It has the characteristics of high safety, non toxicity, and no residue, and has no potential risk of causing aplastic anemia. It is suitable for large-scale breeding farms and is mainly used to treat bovine respiratory diseases caused by Pasteurella and Haemophilus. It has a good therapeutic effect on bovine hoof rot caused by Clostridium difficile. It is also used for bacterial diseases caused by sensitive bacteria in pigs, chickens, and fish.
Flufenicol is not easily resistant to chloramphenicol and methicillin because it replaces the hydroxyl group in the molecular structure of methicillin with atoms, effectively solving the problem of resistance to chloramphenicol and methicillin. Strains resistant to methicillin, chloramphenicol, amoxicillin, and quinolone are still sensitive to this product. Due to its serious adverse effects such as aplastic anemia and immunosuppression, chloramphenicol is prohibited from use in food and animal production. Research has shown that the main functional group causing aplastic anemia in the chemical structure of chloramphenicol is the para nitro group on the aromatic ring. Fluphenicol, on the other hand, replaces the NO2 group with CH3SO4, causing a change in its chemical structure. Therefore, it is used in animals without causing adverse reactions such as aplastic anemia. The characteristics of florfenicol are: wide antibacterial spectrum, sensitive to Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Proteus, Haemophilus, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Streptococcus suis, Pasteurella suis, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Staphylococcus aureus, etc.
Application&Function

Manufacture Raw Material Florfenicol Powder FlorfenicolFlufenicol can strongly interfere with bacterial protein synthesis, with rapid absorption, wide distribution in the body, long half-life, no adverse effects, low resistance, no residue, and no cross resistance.
Fluphenicol can be used for the treatment of systemic infections in livestock, poultry, and aquatic animals, with significant therapeutic effects on respiratory and intestinal infections.
Poultry: Mixed infections caused by various sensitive bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, infectious rhinitis, chronic respiratory diseases, duck plague, etc. Livestock: Mixed infections such as infectious pleurisy, asthma, streptococcal disease, Escherichia coli disease, salmonellosis, infectious pleuropneumonia, wheezing disease, piglet paratyphoid fever, yellow and white dysentery, edema disease, atrophic rhinitis, porcine lung disease, piglet red and white dysentery, and lactational syndrome in pigs, cattle, sheep, etc.
Crabs: limb ulcers, yellow gills, rotten gills, red legs, fluorescence disease, and red body syndrome.
Turtle: red neck disease, furuncle disease, perforation disease, skin rot disease, enteritis, mumps bacterial sepsis, etc.
Frogs: Cataract syndrome, ascites disease, sepsis, enteritis, etc.
Fish: enteritis, ascites, vibriosis, Edwardian bacterial disease, etc.
Eel: Debonding sepsis (with unique therapeutic effects), Edwardian bacterial disease, red skin disease, enteritis, etc.Manufacture Raw Material Florfenicol Powder Florfenicol
