Sarafloxacin hydrochloride is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic registered for use against poultry diseases.Sarafloxacin has a strong bactericidal power, its bactericidal power is not affected by the growth period of bacteria, both on the growth period or the resting period of bacteria. Its antibacterial spectrum is extremely broad, showing good antibacterial effect on Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria and mycobacteria, especially Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Serratia marcescens, Yersinia pestis, Salmonella enterocolitica, Enterobacter pubescens, Enterobacter aerogenes and Shigella Enterobacteriaceae.
Function
Sarafloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent with strong inhibitory effects against Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella multocida, Proteus, Haemophilus, Pasteurella haemolytica, Staphylococcus (including penicillin-resistant beads), Streptococcus and Mycoplasma, with MIC90 (ug/ml) of 0.06, 0.06 and 0.015 against the first three, respectively, and also has more antibacterial after-effects. Application
1.Sarafloxacin is mainly used for the treatment of Streptococcus and E. coli disease in pigs and bacterial infections such as E. coli and Salmonella in poultry.
2.It is mainly used in aquaculture for the prevention and control of red head and gill rot and enteritis in fish.
