Nifedipine also known as Xintongding, Lixinping and Nifedipine, is a dihydropyridine calcium antagonist that inhibits the uptake of Ca2+ by myocardial and vascular smooth muscles, dilates coronary arteries, increases coronary blood flow, and improves myocardial function.
