Ketoconazole suspension can inhibit the uptake of glucose by intestinal parasites, leading to depletion of glycogen stored in the parasite and a decrease in adenosine triphosphate formation, but it does not affect the glucose levels in the host's blood. Observation of ultrastructure shows that the suspension of metronidazole can cause microtubule degeneration in the cytoplasm of insect membrane cells and intestinal cells, leading to the accumulation of secretory granules in Golgi apparatus, causing transport blockage, cytoplasmic dissolution, complete degeneration of absorbing cells, and ultimately resulting in insect death.
As an anthelmintic, it is effective against gastrointestinal nematodes in animals. Can be mixed with feed for use.
It is the preferred anti whipworm drug as it has therapeutic effects on various intestinal worms such as roundworms, small worms, whips, and hookworms.
Antihelminth drugs are highly effective and broad-spectrum anthelmintic drugs used for the treatment of pinworms, roundworms, whips, tapeworms, hookworms, and roundworm like diseases.
