Trichloropyridazole is a specialized drug against Fasciola hepatica and one of several drugs used to treat acute liver fluke disease, mainly due to its ability to kill migrating larvae. It has a significant killing effect on liver flukes of various ages. Sheep; 2.5mg/kg body weight orally administered, with a 100% effective rate for 12 week old adults, 5mg/kg body weight for 10 week old adults, 10mg/kg body weight for 6-8 week old adults, 12.5mg/kg body weight for 1-4 week old immature adults, and 15mg/kg body weight for 1-day-old adults, all have almost 100% effective rates. The killing effect of liver flukes on cattle, horses, and deer is similar to that on sheep, and it also has a good effect on adult flukes.
