Streptomycin sulfate is used for the treatment of infective endocarditis, plague and rabbit fever, influenza bacilli and Gram-negative bacilli infection caused by tuberculosis, Brinell and non-hemolytic streptococcus.

This product is the drug of choice for anti-tuberculosis, has a strong effect on Mycobacterium tuberculosis, has a strong antibacterial effect at low concentrations, and has a bactericidal effect at high concentrations. Because only 10% can penetrate into somatic cells, it is ineffective against intracellular TB, and can only kill extracellular TB.
