Sisomicin is white or almost white powder;it is odorless;it has hygroscopic properties. Sisomicin is easily soluble in water.  Sisomicin An aminoglycoside antibiotic produced by micromonospora.  Its structure and antibacterial spectrum are similar to gentamicin, and its antibacterial action against P. aeruginosa is stronger than gentamicin and similar to tobramycin.  The effect on serratia was lower than gentamicin, but higher than tobramycin.  It is mainly used for local or systemic infection caused by gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, dysentery bacillus, Klebsiella, Proteus, etc., especially for urinary tract infection.
