Inositol is a fine white crystal or crystalline powder. Odorless, sweet. Relative density is 1.752,1.524 (dihydrate). Stability in the air. To heat, acid and alkali stability. Its aqueous solution was neutral to litmus. No optical activity. Soluble in water 6ml per gram. Hardly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether and chloroform.Inositol is one of the vitamin B-- a water soluble vitamin,it is also called vitamin B group. Inositol and choline are also known as six alcohol. There are nine kinds of stereoisomers, the racemic can promote cell metabolism, contribute to development, increase appetite, it also can cure the fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis, arteriosclerosis, embolism and so on.

Application & Function

1.In Medical Industry:mainly used to confect multi-vitamin pills and various nutritional amino acid- vitamin infusion products.
