This product is a synthetic antibacterial and anti tuberculosis drug. The mechanism of its action has not been fully elucidated. This product can penetrate into the body of Mycobacterium to interfere with RNA synthesis and inhibit bacterial reproduction. It is only effective for Mycobacterium during its growth and reproduction period.
It has a strong inhibitory effect on tuberculosis and other mycobacteria. Oral absorption is about 80%, the peak time of blood drug concentration is 2-4 hours, protein binding is about 40%, and only about 10% of the drug is metabolized into inactive substances in the body. Mainly excreted through the kidneys. There is no cross resistance with other anti tuberculosis drugs. But tuberculosis bacteria can also slowly develop resistance to this product. It is a second-line anti tuberculosis drug that can be used in cases where treatment with other anti tuberculosis drugs is ineffective.
