Silamycin interferes with the chloride ion channels controlled by glutamate in the insect body, causing rapid, lethal, and non spasmodic neuromuscular paralysis. It has killing activity against parasites in vivo (nematodes) and in vitro (arthropods). After using this product on the skin of dogs and cats, the drug is absorbed into the bloodstream through the skin, and some of the drug enters the digestive tract and bloodstream through the mouth during animal grooming. Pharmacokinetic studies have shown that after topical application, the plasma of saikinin exhibits persistent absorption. The experimental data shows that the skin (especially sebaceous glands) is a site of accumulation of saikinin, which ensures that there is a drug concentration on the fur that can kill parasites for a longer period of time,
The safety of Seramycin has been greatly improved, with good oral and injection effects. It is an in vitro and in vivo insecticide mainly targeting adult fleas, silkworms, and scabies in pets such as cats and dogs.
