Tranilast is a light yellow or light yellow-green crystal or crystalline powder; it is odorless and tasteless.It is easily soluble in dimethylformamide, slightly soluble in methano, and insoluble in water.     Clinically, it is an anti-allergic drug,mainly used for atopic dermatitis, urticaria, pruritus, keloid, etc.It can also be used for the prevention and treatment of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis.

Function:
Tranilast, is an anti-allergy drug that inhibits the release of substances such as histamine and prostaglandins from mast cells, thereby inhibiting collagen synthesis from fibroblasts of keloid tissue origin, for the allergic reaction medium release agent, has the function of stabilizing mast cell and basophilic membrane.
