Superparamagnetic nano ferric oxide is a kind of metal oxide nanoparticles approved for clinical use, which has great application potential in the field of nanomedical medicine. Superparamagnetic nano ferric oxide with suitable surface properties can be widely used in vivo studies, such as imaging, tissue repair, immunoanalysis, humoral immunity, hyperthermia, drug carrier and cell separation.
At present, there are many synthesis methods of superparamagnetic nano ferric oxide, which mainly include the following ones: coprecipitation method, hydrothermal reaction method, precursor high-temperature pyrolysis method, microemulsion method, solution-gel method, acoustic chemical reaction method, flow injection method and daypoint injection synthesis method. The most commonly used methods are coprecipitation, hydrothermal reaction and precursor water pyrolysis. The precipitation method has low cost, simple principle and high product purity. However, due to the great influence of external environment in the reaction process, strict nitrogen protection is required, and the poor particle size uniformity of the product limits its application. Superparamagnetic ferric oxide nanoparticles with good particle size uniformity and dispersion can be obtained by pyrolyzing the precursor of the precursor, but its application is limited due to its complexity, high cost and toxic substances. Hydrothermal method is more adaptable to the first two methods, with cheap raw materials, simple synthesis, controllable reaction conditions, uniform particle size of the synthesized products, and the surface generally has a variety of special functional groups for further modification, so it gradually becomes the most commonly used synthesis method of superparamagnetic nano ferric oxide.
