Heparin sodium is a white or white-like powder that is highly moisture-inducing and easily soluble in water. This product is a sodium salt of glucosamine sulfate extracted from pig intestinal mucosa. It is a mixture of sugar chains with different molecular weight. It is alternately linked by α-D-glucosamine (n-sulfated, o-sulfated or n-acetylated) and o-sulfated glucuronic acid (α-L-iduronic acid or β-D-glucuronic acid) to form a polymer, which has the effect of prolongating blood coagulation time.
Application & Function
Function
Heparin sodium is an anticoagulant that interferes with many aspects of the blood coagulation process and has anticoagulant effects both in vivo and in vitro. Its mechanism of action is complex, mainly through binding with antithrombin III (AT-III), and enhance the latter's inhibition of activated II, IX, X coagulation factors, the consequences of which involves preventing platelet agglutination and destruction, hindering the formation of coagulation activating enzyme, preventing prothrombin from turning into thrombin, inhibiting thrombin and thus preventing fibrinogen from turning into fibrin, thereby exerting anticoagulant effects.
Application
1. Prevent thrombosis and embolism, such as deep vein thrombosis, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, thrombophlebitis and postoperative thrombosis.
2. Treatment of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) caused by various causes, such as bacterial sepsis, early placental dissection, and DIC caused by the dissolution of malignant tumor cells, except DIC caused by snake bites. Early application prevents depletion of fibrinogen and other clotting factors.
3, other in vivo and in vitro anticoagulation, such as cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgery cardiopulmonary bypass, hemodialysis, etc.
