Changshan ketone is a relatively new broad-spectrum anti coccidian drug, which has the advantages of small dosage and no cross resistance with other anti coccidian drugs. This product has a significant inhibitory effect on early reproductive spores and first and second generation schizonts of coccidiosis, and can control the expulsion of egg sacs, reducing the possibility of reinfection. The peak period of action is on the 2nd to 3rd day after infection. This product has strong inhibitory effects on six types of Eimeria in chickens and the two most harmful Eimeria species in turkeys, as well as on Eimeria in rabbits. Its anti coccidiosis activity exceeds that of polyether antibiotics. It is also effective against sheep sporozoites and bovine Taylor pear shaped worms. Changshan ketone at a feed concentration of 1-2 mg/kg is effective against tender, toxic, and giant Eimeria spp. in chickens; A feed concentration of 3 milligrams per kilogram can prevent the excretion of egg sacs from heap type, brucellosis, as well as small, glandular, and peacock Eimeria in turkeys. Changshan ketone is still effective against coccidiosis that develop resistance to chloropyridine and quinoxaline drugs.

Application&Function

Changshan ketone has high activity in killing coccidiosis and is not prone to developing drug resistance. As an anti coccidioid drug, it can be used in chicken feed at a dosage of 3g/t. It is prohibited during the egg laying period and should be stopped for 5 days.
This product is similar to the quinazoline alkaloid Changshan alkaloid contained in Changshan (a traditional Chinese medicine used for malaria). Halofuketone has strong killing activity against coccidiosis, and is highly effective in killing all coccidiosis cysts. It has the characteristics of broad-spectrum, high efficiency, low toxicity, and is not easily resistant to drugs, and is widely used in the chicken industry.
