Posaconazole is a derivative of Itraconazole, White solid powder,It can be used clinically for the treatment of aspergillosis, zygomycosis and fusarium disease, and can also be used for the treatment of some fluconazole-resistant Candida infections.Studies have shown that posaconazole can widely and effectively treat Hyphomycosis phalaenopsis, and improve the survival rate of patients infected with Phalaenopsis dermatitis. The effect is dose-dependent.

Application & Function

1.Posaconazole is the newest member of the a zole class of antifungal agents to reach the market.It is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of a range of invasive fungal infections, including aspergillosis,fusariosis, chromoblastomycosis, mycetoma, and coccidiomycosis in patients who are refractory to, or intolerant of, standard therapy with amphotericin B and/or itracona zole.
2.Additionally, it is approved for the treatment of oropharyngeal candidiasis.Posaconazole has an expanded spectrum of activity over other members of the a zole antifungals.In addition to potent activity against refractory cases of aspergillosis and flucona zole-resistant Candida, it demonstrates activity against Zygomycetes.
