Application
1. Amygdalin is an active ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine almonds. People have been studying for nearly two hundred years. In 1830, Robiquet et al. Isolated amygdalin, and so far it has become a commonly used expectorant cough agent, Auxiliary anti-cancer drugs, amygdalin widely exist in the apricot, peach, plum, apple, hawthorn and other varieties of Rosaceae plant seeds, especially in the bitter almonds content more.
2. Amygdalin, is a glycoside initially isolated from the seeds of the tree prunus dulcis ,also known as Bitter almonds, by Pierre-Jean Robiquet and A. F. Boutron-Charlard in 18302. Several other related species in the genus of Prunus, including apricot (prunus armeniaca) and black cherry (prunus serotina), also contain amygdalin.
3. Vitamin B17, also known as laetrile, is isolated from the seeds of Prunus armeniaca, which is found naturally in fruits and vegetables, particularly in the apricot pits and bitter almonds.`
