Artemether is a highly effective and fast acting cyclocidal agent of Plasmodium. It is used for the treatment of chloroquine falciparum malaria and dangerous malaria, and has a rapid effect and good short-term effect. Animal experiments show that its antimalarial effect is 10 ~ 20 times that of artemisinin. In addition to having a strong killing effect on the internal erythrocyte asexual reproductive body, it can also promote the liver migration and killing of adult schistosoma worms, and it is also effective on the schistosoma children in different developmental stages. The children with 1 week of worm age are the most sensitive to the drug, and the effect on female worms is more obvious than that on male worms, and the immediate effect is good.

Application & Function
