Nystatin is a polyene antibiotic. The first anti-mold antibiotic was discovered in 1950 when Streptomyces noursei, a soil microbe, was found to secrete an anti-mold substance. Nystatin has conjugated polyene macrolide structure, which can inhibit the activity of fungi and dermococcus, but has no inhibitory effect on bacteria

Application&Function

It is mainly used internally to treat digestive tract fungal infection or externally for surface skin fungal infection. Such as bovine fungal gastritis, chicken and Turkey sac mycosis, on aspergillus, mucor caused mastitis, milk duct perfusion is also effective. Aerosol inhalation is also effective in treating chick pneumonia caused by Aspergillus fumigatus. This product is also used for fungal double infection caused by long-term use of broad spectrum antibiotics.
