Sisomicin is white or almost white powder; it is odorless; it has hygroscopic properties.
Sisomicin is easily soluble in water, but insoluble in methano, ethanol, aceton, chlorofor, and ether.
The specific rotation is taken from this product, accurately weighed, dissolved in water and quantitatively diluted to a solution containing 10mg per 1ml, and measured in accordance with the law (Chinese Pharmacopoeia 1990 Edition Two Appendix, page 67), calculated as a dry product, the specific rotation is +100° to +110°.
It is suitable for the treatment of respiratory and genitourinary system infections caused by gram-negative bacteria, staphylococcus and other sensitive bacteria.

Application&Function

Use 1: Intermediate for the production of sisomicin sulfate or netilmicin sulfate.

Use 2: For the infection of Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter.
